BBQ Best: Mizzou Chops
As a Missourian, I would be remiss if I didn't mention something that originated here, and with Memorial Day just around the corner, I thought some deliciously marinated pork chops (or chicken) sounded like just the thing.
PREP/TOTAL TIME: 5 min/2 hours
RECIPE BY Vintage Missouri 4-H Book
Ingredients
1 pork chop or chicken breast per person
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. brown sugar
Directions
1. Combine soy sauce, vinegar garlic powder and brown sugar.
2. Marinate meat in mixture 2 hours minimum before cooking.
3. Cook on grill, turning frequently, basting with marinade often during cooking.
